- The enterprise was founded in the end of the 19th Century, in 1898 as a clothes manufacturer.
- In the decade of the 50s the enterprise began to develop the manufacture of knitwear, specializing in gloves.
- During the 70s, as a result of cooperation with a French enterprise, M. Guinart acknowledged a new technology to manufacture gloves. The result was the importation of Japanese automatic machines SHIMA-SEIKI for the gloves’ manufacture. .
- Since 1985 the enterprise has undergone different Modernization Plans promoted by the Ministry of Industry; the Textile Restructuring Plan in 1985 to modernize the machinery related to electronic control of rectilinear knitting machines and gloves; the Plan of the Textile-confection competitiveness in 1992 with the aim to modernize the Department of Design and CAD-CAM. And in 1996 they also accepted the same Plan to improve the quality of the product and the training of the personnel.
- In 1997 the enterprise moved into a new industrial plant placed in an industrial area in the entrance of Olot. The enterprise underwent a big investment in new facilities in order to fit in with the strict regulations about security and hygiene and to improve the productive process increasing the productivity and reducing costs. This project was financed on the community initiative LEADER II promoted by the European Union, A.R.& P.'s department, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Consell Comarcal of the Garrotxa.
GLOBES: It includes gloves, hats, scarves, mittens, ski masks, caps and berets. The collection is divided into 4 segments: woman, man, child and baby.
SKI: It includes jerseys, hats, ski masks, bands, hat-bands, gloves and neck-warmers.
The raw materials used are: wool-cotton, merino-wool, lambs wool, angora wool, mohair and acrylic with all its mixtures. We’ve got the Malden Mills license for the use of Polartec in fabrics, the Interlock in cotton and polyester and the Micro fibre in polyester of its own production.
